Therapy for anxiety
Struggling with anxiety?
You don’t have to face it alone. Together, we can work on ways to manage feelings of stress, anxiety or being overwhelmed.

What anxiety feels like
Anxiety isn’t just stress - it can affect how you think, feel, and function every day. If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone:
A tight chest, racing heart, or restlessness
Trouble sleeping or switching off your mind
Overthinking small things or second-guessing yourself
Avoiding situations, even ones that matter
Feeling exhausted, tense, or on edge most days
Anxiety can make life feel smaller.
With the right support, you can find ways to breathe again.

How therapy can help
Anxiety can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to control your life. Therapy gives you the tools to:
Understand your triggers: identify what fuels your anxiety and why
Learn practical coping strategies: techniques like mindfulness and grounding exercises can help calm your mind.
Change unhelpful thought patterns: shift the way you think so anxiety has less control over you.
Feel more in control: build confidence in managing your emotions and daily life.

Each session lasts 50 minutes, whether in person or online. This gives us time to explore what’s going on for you, at your pace, without feeling rushed.
That’s completely okay. Therapy is a personal process - if it doesn’t feel like a good fit, we can talk about what’s not working. Sometimes a different approach, or even a different therapist, can make all the difference.
Yes. Online therapy offers the same support as in-person sessions, with the convenience of joining from home. It’s a good option if you have a busy schedule, mobility issues, or simply prefer more flexibility.
We’ll spend some time getting to know each other. You can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and what you hope to get from it. There’s no pressure to open up straight away - you’re in control of the pace.
Therapy can help you understand what’s driving your anxiety, learn how to manage anxious thoughts, and build tools to feel more in control. Over time, it can reduce symptoms and improve your day-to-day wellbeing.
Different approaches work for different people. I draw on evidence-based methods like CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), mindfulness, and talk therapy, depending on what suits you best.
That varies. Some people feel relief after a few sessions, while others need more time to explore what’s going on. The important thing is that you’re not alone in it - and we’ll work at a pace that feels manageable.
That’s a common worry. If even thinking about therapy makes you anxious, we can start slowly. You don’t have to dive into everything at once. It’s okay to take your time - I’ll meet you where you are.
